This fourth installment of the Indiana Jones Adventures has been highly anticipated by fans of Indiana Jones, and by the crystal skull community. There has not been an Indiana Jones movie released since 1989 because the parties involved were not able to agree on a script. At last, story writer / executive producer George Lucas ("Star Wars") is once again going where no film has gone before.
Although both Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas took great pains to maintain secrecy with regard to the story, in October of 2007, material related to the film was stolen from Dreamworks. An alleged proposal for the script was then leaked. The secret title soon became known to the world, revealing that crystals skulls would be the new Indiana Jones icon, joining legendary treasures from past films, such as the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail.
